Mission 3-Digital Journalism

For this project I was with Mark O'Brien and Jack Clinton, we decided to do Digital Journalism because we had some sort of interest in the topic and we thought it would be a suitable mission for the few weeks ahead. We weren't sure at the beginning how we where going to present the mission in video for because we wanted to get as much information across to our audience so we came up with a list of ideas of what we could do for this mission and the list is as follows:

*A podcast where we can talk about a certain topic in Digital Journalism to date

*A new show where we can make up a news story based around digital journalism

*A voice over of a power point documentation based on the idea of digital journalism and everything about it from past to present
In the end after multiple days of deciding Mark, Jack and I came to the conclusion that we where going to do the podcast, the reason being is because it was the best way to get as much information as possible across of what we thought digital journalism is all about. Mark and I especially could bring across our knowledge of podcast since we did complete one back in September with our first mission. 

For this mission we had a\ few goals set in mind which we would like to have achieved and have a greater understanding of what digital journalism is all about. The goals where as follows:

*To understand how big news companies get there news articles out to the world via big applications such as Snapchat, Instagram etc.

*How do these applications make such news articles more visually appealing.

*What are the main problems to do with digital journalism at the moment.

So by the end of this mission we wished to have this goal met and much more. We felt that with a bit of editing to the podcast we could make it more engaging to the audience and to have it more visually appealing with screen recordings and images etc. We would most definitely be able to improve on this podcast because it was much easier to make it this time round. The video in the end came out to  about 10 minutes long which was perfect because it allowed us to get the correct amount of information across to the class and give them our knowledge of what Digital Journalism is all about

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 1 Product For this mission the group i was in was with Mark O'Brien and Sam O'Sullivan. What our aim of this mission was and the final product we had to produce was what we chose to do and that was a podcast. We needed to explore Digital Audio in our own ways and explore how digital audio could be used in a podcast to make it turn out amazing and also interesting. Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 2 Process The process was the fun part of completing this mission because it was exploring something new for all of us. We didn't really have any idea of how this product would turn out in the end of the mission. So firstly I will talk about the research that went behind in finding out what type of podcast we would want to  produce for the viewer to listen to. Basically we all went onto YouTube and listened to about 9 hours of different podcasts each to find the write style we wanted to go with. So after exploring for ages we finally came to the conclusion we where going to go with a Joe Rogan styled podcast because we found his to be most interesting to listen to.  Then we decided to go ahead and get straight into the recording of our podcast and get it done as quickly as possible.
