Mission 3-Digital Journalism

Process

For the process since we knew what we where doing and we had the time to complete this mission it was quite easy to finish it, it started off with the development phase where we all came together and decided what we wanted the podcast to be structured like. We had already know that we wanted to base it off a Joe Rogan podcast because his podcasts are the greatest one on the internet to date.

So basically once we had our style for the podcast set out we each took a different topic to talk about on the podcast, I took Instagram and how they portray there news feed, Jack took Snapchat and the same again how do they portray there new, and Mark chose Twitter for his part. We then found a room that was quiet enough and not too echoey so the sound quality of the video wouldn't be bad we set up the camera and the microphone on the computer and began to record, we brought up our topics throughout the podcast and had a discussion on each, comparing how each application is different to one another, the talking lasted about 10 to 15 minutes and we covered every topic that we could on Digital Journalism throughout.

Now it was the editing phase. The editing phase of the video took the longest out of everything firstly from not being able to use final cut pro because on windows 10 you cannot use final cut pro  because it is not free and you have to pay a monthly subscription to use it so we had to use an alternative. We finally used this application called blender.

After that we uploaded the video and the sound file to a computer and began the editing process, overall the editing process took about 10 hour to do, with trying to sync up all the sounds with the videos and also  trying to put decent music in the background. Then we also had to add in some screen recordings from our phones to show the different apps and how then portray their news feeds. This editing process was quite hard to complete because we tried to  up our anti from the last podcast that we did and make it very visually appealing to the audience.

Mission 2-Culture-The Internet Of Things Blog 2

Mission 2-Internet of things Process This wasn't really a hard mission to do overall, it was just very time consuming. It mos definitely took 30 hours to complete the tasks we set out to do and also at the same time it took time to figure out what really the internet of things was. So firstly I will talk about the research that went behind the internet of things, we didn't really look for a lot of history one to two slides at most because it would just make the presentation boring in the end. We took some time out to research what the internet of things really is and also the security issues behind it all.  We then preceded to look up how to do an online survey for free and this took some time to actually find a free good survey app because most you would have to pay for a monthly description, but I remembered back to my secondary school days where we used to use this application called Survey Monkey It is a free software to make an online survey and was perf...

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 1

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 1 Product For this mission the group i was in was with Mark O'Brien and Sam O'Sullivan. What our aim of this mission was and the final product we had to produce was what we chose to do and that was a podcast. We needed to explore Digital Audio in our own ways and explore how digital audio could be used in a podcast to make it turn out amazing and also interesting. We knew by the end of this mission and the we would have a greater understanding of what digital audio is all about, and the end product would turn out to be a good way to show our understanding of Digital Audio. We firstly knew we had to overcome not knowing each other which was a challenge in itself but we firstly had to consider what our goals would be for this mission. The goals where as followed: *To explore the idea of digital audio *To think about how digital audio is used in everyday life *To think about how digital audio has changed drastically over ...

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 2

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 2 Process The process was the fun part of completing this mission because it was exploring something new for all of us. We didn't really have any idea of how this product would turn out in the end of the mission. So firstly I will talk about the research that went behind in finding out what type of podcast we would want to  produce for the viewer to listen to. Basically we all went onto YouTube and listened to about 9 hours of different podcasts each to find the write style we wanted to go with. So after exploring for ages we finally came to the conclusion we where going to go with a Joe Rogan styled podcast because we found his to be most interesting to listen to.  Then we decided to go ahead and get straight into the recording of our podcast and get it done as quickly as possible. We took a day out to try find somewhere in the college to record and also find the most suitable place so our voices wouldn't be echoing ...
